In 2010, British Columbia's agrifoods sector provided more than 61,000 jobs and generated close to $10.5 billion in provincial revenues.

With enormous potential for growth, our agrifoods sector is a natural choice to be highlighted in the BC Jobs Plan as a source of new dollars into our economy.

We have consulted extensively with industry stakeholders to get their input on original and creative ideas that will increase their competitiveness.

From the traditional family farm to vineyards, fisheries, cattle ranches, high-tech greenhouses and state-of-the-art processing facilities, B.C.’s agrifoods sector will play its part in generating new jobs, stimulating investment and inciting growth across the province.
