New Rules of Practice and Procedure issued by the Safety Standards Appeal Board

The Safety Standards Appeal Board recently issued new Rules of Practice and Procedure to facilitate the just and timely resolution of appeals to the Board under the Safety Standards Act and the Homeowner Protection Act.  The Rules were developed with significant involvement of the Dispute Resolution Office to reflect the Board's practices and legislation. 

The Board has also published Guidelines and Practice Directions to assist parties in using the Rules.  The Guidelines provide information on how to file an appeal and what to expect during the various stages of the appeal process.
