  • There are close to 20-thousand farms in B.C.
  • B.C. has the highest percent of small farms in Canada generating gross farm revenues of $10,000 or less. The national average is 22 per cent.
  • The number of very large commercial farms, generating receipts of $2 million and over grew by 46 per cent in B.C.
  • B.C. has more women involved in agriculture (36 per cent) compared to the national average of 28 per cent.
