NEW FUNDING FOR ABORIGINAL ENTREPRENEURS
VICTORIA – New funding will triple the number of Aboriginal communities benefiting from business training to help Aboriginal people become self-employed or start their own business, Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation Minister Michael de Jong announced.

$2.9M SUPPORTS PROGRAMS FOR ABORIGINAL STUDENTS
VICTORIA – Government is investing over $2.9 million in 37 post-secondary projects to help Aboriginal students access and complete their studies, announced Murray Coell, Minister of Advanced Education and Labour Market Development.

VICTORIA – The Province has provided $300,000 to bring Aboriginal leaders from across British Columbia together in an unprecedented gathering on sport, recreation and physical activity on the eve of the Cowichan 2008 North American Indigenous Games, Michael de Jong, Minister of Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation, announced.
