Steve Munro

Steve joined the Government of British Columbia in 1989.

Steve’s first six years with the provincial government were with the Ministry of Finance, working in taxation, intergovernmental fiscal relations and social policy fields.  Steve joined the Ministry of Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation as a Negotiator in 1995.  Since then, he has worked mainly on federal-provincial cost-sharing and other fiscal issues.  As the provincial Co-Chair of the Federal-Provincial Cost-Sharing Senior Officials Committee, Steve has played a key role in the successful negotiation of numerous Memorandums of Understanding, cost-sharing arrangements and tripartite fiscal agreements.  Steve has been the acting Assistant Deputy Minister of the Negotiations Division since July 2008.

Steve has a Masters of Economics from the University of Western Ontario and Bachelor of Science from Trent University.
