Aboriginal Business and Entrepreneurship Strategy

Aboriginal Youth Business and Entrepreneurship Skills Training (Aboriginal BEST)

Supported by the Ministry of Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation, the Aboriginal Business and Entrepreneurship Skills Training program (Aboriginal BEST) provides youth with skills that help them create their own jobs.

The program offers training that helps participants identify business opportunities and determine their feasibility. Participants conduct market research, write business plans and explore financing options. They learn how to make money through self-employment.

Aboriginal BEST is for First Nation, Métis and Inuit youth, status or not, between the ages of 18 and 35, who are interested in becoming self-employed or starting their own business. It is for both those who have a solid idea and want to see it happen, and for those who have an interest in business but no specific idea as yet.

It's FREE. There is no charge for the 12 training sessions.
