Minister Abbott looks on as the flame is lit in the Olympic cauldron on Haida Gwaii/ Queen Charlotte Islands. The minister joined hundreds of community members at torch relay celebrations, where the flame was delivered to the shores of Skidegate by the Haida Nation in a canoe carved by world famous Haida artist Bill Reid.
