HEDLEY - Tom Christensen, Minister of Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation and Bill Bennett, Minister of State for Mining, join Chief Richard Holmes of the Upper Similkameen Indian Band at the historic Mascot Mine. The Province and the Band signed a mining consultation agreement that ensures future environmental and sustainable mining development. It also allows the Province to assist the band in developing mining capacity within its territory.
