Chief Stewart Phillip, President of the Union of BC Indian Chiefs, addresses media about the New Relationship Trust Act. Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation Minister Tom Christensen tabled the legislation, which is designed to support capacity-building for First Nations so they can effectively participate in land and resource management and social programs for their communities.
