October 16, 2009 – Moira Stilwell, Minister of Advanced Education and Labour Market Development along with Irene Seguin, chair, Northwest Community College (left) and Stephanie Forsyth (centre), president, Northwest Community College visited the Longhouse construction site at Terrace campus during a tour of Northwest Community College. The minister also took part in the official groundbreaking ceremony of the $16.7 M Smithers campus expansion and renovation project funded jointly by the provincial and federal governments.
