MINISTER VISITS NEW $40-MILLION PEN HIGH
In August, Education Minister Shirley Bond and the SD67 (Okanagan Skaha) Board of Education toured the new Penticton Secondary School. This $40-million facility will welcome 1,400 students this school year. The new Pen High is equipped with the latest geothermal energy-efficient heating and air conditioning systems. The school also features a grand multi-purpose common area that opens onto an enclosed courtyard, a gym facility that almost doubles the size of the existing gym, an expanded fitness room, a dance studio, a library and media centre, and larger classroom windows to allow for natural light.
