Agencies, Boards, Commissions, including Commissions of Inquiry, and Offices of the Legislature
Government Records Service provides support to agencies, boards and commissions based upon a client’s status under the Document Disposal Act (DDA). It is considered that an office is covered by the DDA unless a legal opinion states otherwise.
Services for clients covered by the DDA include:
- Records management advice,
- Review of Operational Records Classification System and ARCS supplements for compliance with standards
- Review of applications for off-site storage transfers
Services for clients not covered by the DDA:
- Advisory services
- In conjunction with the client, developing processes for managing records transferred to off-site storage
