97 PEOPLE WIN BC HOUSING EDUCATION AWARDS
VANCOUVER – BC Housing has provided awards and bursaries to 97 people living in subsidized housing across the province – up from 46 last year – to help them pursue their educational goals and achieve positive life changes.

$1.35 M FOR SENIORS’ HOUSING IN NORTH VANCOUVER
NORTH VANCOUVER – The Province is providing $1.35 million towards the renovation and conversion of 70 units of seniors’ supportive housing for Kiwanis Lynn Manor and Kiwanis Towers, Minister of Housing and Social Development Rich Coleman announced.

$145 MILLION IN GAMING GRANTS DISTRIBUTED IN 2007/08

Paraplegic Foundation, Chilliwack 4-H, the Fort St. John Métis Society, the Okanagan Symphony Society and the Victoria West Lawn Bowling Club are just some of the 5,800 community organizations who shared more than $145 million worth of gaming grants in the 2007/08 fiscal year, announced Rich Coleman, Minister of Housing and Social Development.
