VANCOUVER - $7.5M GIFT LEAD BY TECH COMINCO CREATES NORMAN B. KEEVIL INSTITUE OF MINING ENGINEERING AT UBC

B.C.’s only mining engineering program has received a $7.5M gift, with a major donation from Teck Cominco Limited, plus contributions from the company’s partners to create the UBC Norman B. Keevil Institute of Mining Engineering in honour of the company’s former President and CEO, Dr. Norman B. Keevil. The gift will help the new institute quickly become one of the world’s leading mining engineering institutions.
