Plan - signed by Premier Gordon Campbell, Minister Richard
Neufeld and Minister Pat Bell - to Eric Dennys at the Chamber
of Mines of Eastern BC Annual General Meeting AGM banquet.
Eric is the first of 3 generations of Dennys miners in the
Kootenays, he appears with his son and grandson on page
1 of the recently released mining plan.

VANCOUVER A wide-ranging plan to expand on recent
government and industry successes supporting sustainable,
responsible mining in British Columbia was announced by
Minister of Energy and Mines Richard Neufeld and Minister
of State for Mining, Pat Bell.
Minister Neufeld (left) spoke to an audience at the Queen
Elizabeth Park on January 18, 2005. The park, now a wonderful
recreation area used by local residents and visitors from
around the world, was previously a quarry, a mine site where
rock was dug to build Vancouver's first roadways.

Minister of State tours Huckleberry Mine, April 2004. The
ore at Huckleberry is mined with standard open-pit truck
and shovel equipment, and processed through a SAG/ball mill
circuit producing a copper concentrate and molybdenum concentrate.
The copper concentrate is trucked to Stewart for shipment
to Japan, while the molybdenum concentrate is trucked to
and sold in Vancouver.

Education Minister Shirley Bond delivers the pie to Minister

in the Gold Rush Fair and Celebrity Pie Throw fundraiser
for Children's Hospital organized by Teck Cominco. The Mining
for Miracles event raised $319,380. The event took place
in Vancouver as part of provincial Mining Week May 16 -
