INNOVATIVE CLEAN ENERGY FUND
The Province has received 60 applications to the government’s Innovative Clean Energy
(ICE) Fund, with project values totalling about $700 million, and seeking nearly $140 million in financial support from the fund, Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources Minister Richard Neufeld announced on April 3, 2008. [News release]

Innovative Clean Energy (ICE) Fund project priorities (PDF - 27KB) are:
- the production of clean or renewable energy
- the transmission of energy from producers to consumers, and
- improving the ways energy is used in British Columbia’s communities and across all sectors of the provincial economy.
The following are eligible to apply to the Fund:
- Local governments (municipalities and regional districts)
- School boards
- Hospitals
- First Nations
- Not-for-profit societies that are registered under the Society Act
- Post secondary institutions
- Crown Corporations
- Public Utilities
- Companies registered under the Business Corporations Act, or BC companies registered under the Canada Business Corporations Act.
