B.C.’S ESTABLISHED GAS RESERVES CONTINUE UPWARD TREND
VICTORIA – For the seventh straight year, B.C.’s established natural gas reserves have increased, and B.C. is the only jurisdiction in North America able to make that claim, said Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources Minister Richard Neufeld.

LAND RIGHTS SALES CONTINUE TO BRING RECORD NUMBERS
VICTORIA – The August sale of oil and gas rights has resulted in over $501 million in bonus bids and brings the fiscal year-to-date total to a new record of over $1.8 billion, Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources Minister Richard Neufeld announced.

BRITISH COLUMBIA SCORES A+ FOR ENERGY EFFICIENCY
VICTORIA – The Canadian Energy Efficiency Alliance’s (CEEA) annual report card, ranking Canada’s provinces and jurisdictions on promoting energy efficiency, gave British Columbia the top score of A+ according to a report released today, said Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources Minister Richard Neufeld.

15 PROJECTS HIGHLIGHT B.C.'S CLEAN ENERGY INNOVATION
VICTORIA – The Province is funding a suite of innovative clean energy projects throughout B.C., investing $25 million from the government’s Innovative Clean Energy (ICE) Fund, announced Technology, Trade and Economic Development Minister Ida Chong and Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources Minister Richard Neufeld.

$5-MILLION INVESTMENT LAUNCHES SOLARBC
DAWSON CREEK – The Province is investing $5 million in the SolarBC program to encourage the installation of solar hot water heaters in homes, municipal buildings, schools, social housing and First Nations communities, Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources Minister Richard Neufeld announced.
