Kicking Horse Canyon

The Trans-Canada Highway through the Kicking Horse Canyon opened to full four-lane operation at 7 am MST on November 30, 2023. This marked substantial completion of three years of Phase 4 construction.

Kicking Horse Canyon Project

When work resumes the final pieces of the project will be completed, including landscaping, wildlife fence installation, limited final paving and painting of permanent line markings. Spring 2024 construction may require minor lane closures and delays. Check DriveBC for updates.
