On September 11, 2006, Health Minister George Abbott and local MLAs toured Burnaby Hospital's Emergency Department. They also saw the hospital's new palliative care unit, operating room, neo-natal unit and medical/surgical area to see how the facility managed during the Norwalk Virus outbreak earlier this year.
