On Jan. 22, 2009, Minister Abbott participated in a ribbon-cutting at The Crossing at Keremeos which will be B.C.'s first long-term residential treatment centre for youth challenged by drug and alcohol addictions. The event was held to mark the completion of one of the centre's key residential buildings.
