To celebrate the addition of six new residential care beds at the Houston Health Centre, Health Services Minister George Abbott (centre) was joined by (left to right) Cormac Hikisch, Northern Health Service Administrator, Gordon Milnem, Northern Health Board member, Sharon Smith, Houston Mayor and Jody Holmes, Northern Region Superintendent of BC Ambulance Service.
Northern Health and the Government of British Columbia are partners in the development of the new beds, which will serve Houston seniors who can no longer live independently, and need round-the-clock nursing care.
