On July 30, Premier Gordon Campbell and Minister George Abbott marked the start of construction of a new $350-million, 500-bed Royal Jubilee Hospital. Scheduled for completion by the end of 2010, the new energy-efficient facility will expand bed capacity and provide more comfort and privacy for patients.
