On April 9, 2009, Minister Abbott unveiled a commemorative plaque which will be placed on the cornerstone of the new patient care centre at Royal Jubilee Hospital. The new hospital will expand bed capacity by close to 25 per cent, provide more comfort and privacy for patients, and be a world-class, energy-efficient facility designed as a Centre for Excellence in elder care.
