TOUR DE GASTOWN SUPPORTS CANCER RESEARCH
July 16, 2008Healthy Living and Sport Minister Mary Polak shoots the starting pistol for the Tour de Gastown on July 16, 2008. The race featured a super-fast 1.2 km course with North America's top riders battling wheel-to-wheel for more than $15,000 in cash prizes. Proceeds from the race are going to the BC Cancer Foundation to be used for cancer research at the BC Cancer Agency.
