TOUR DE GASTOWN SUPPORTS CANCER RESEARCH

Healthy Living and Sport Minister Mary Polak shoots the starting pistol for the Tour de Gastown on July 16, 2008. The race featured a super-fast 1.2 km course with North America's top riders battling wheel-to-wheel for more than $15,000 in cash prizes. Proceeds from the race are going to the BC Cancer Foundation to be used for cancer research at the BC Cancer Agency.
