PROVINCE PROCLAIMS FRANCOPHONE DAY 2009

VICTORIA – Minister of State for Intergovernmental Relations Joan McIntyre hosted the annual Francophone Day celebration at the legislature rotunda March 12. During the event, the minister helped la Federation des francophones de la Columbie-Britannique to unveil its new visual identity which includes the slogan, “La Colombie-Britannique, j’en fais partie! French. A part of us.” Among the dignitaries at the event (l to r): Mary Polak, Minister of Healthy Living and Sport; Joan McIntyre; John Nuraney, MLA Burnaby-Willingdon; Dr. Real Roy, president, la Federation des francophones de la Columbie-Britannique.
