B.C. & BAJA MEXICO TO CO-OPERATE ON CROSS-BORDER CRIME

VICTORIA - B.C. Minister of State for Intergovernmental Relations Joan McIntyre witnessed the signing Mar. 23 of a statement of intent by the attorneys general of British Columbia and the state of Baja California, Mexico. Attorney General Wally Oppal of B.C. (centre) and Attorney General Rommel Moreno Manjarrez of Baja California (second left)  jointly announced the intent to work towards collaborating on preventing criminal activities that cross their borders.

(centre) and Attorney General Rommel Moreno Manjarrez of Baja California (second left) jointly announced the intent to work towards collaborating on preventing criminal activities that cross their borders such as: human or weapons trafficking; money laundering; Internet crimes against children; offenders fleeing British Columbia or Mexico. Also in attendance were: John Van Dongen, B.C. Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General; Eduardo Martinez Silva, Mr Moreno Manjarrez’s private secretary.
