B.C., Washington Partner to Promote Investment, Jobs for the Pacific Northwest
VANCOUVER - British Columbia and Washington State took another important step in a unique cross-border partnership.
Premier Gordon Campbell and Governor Christine Gregoire said the two jurisdictions will develop a joint regional marketing plan to attract investment and create new jobs.
The plan is the major initiative included in a Prosperity and Competiveness memorandum of action signed by the two leaders at the conclusion of the fifth annual B.C.-Washington joint cabinet meeting held Oct. 20 in Vancouver.
