Highway 1 improvements Pritchard The Pritchard to Hoffman's Bluff project, located about 42 kilometres east of Kamloops, will widen three kilometres of the Trans-Canada Highway from two lanes to four lanes and upgrade an intersection at Stoney Flats Road. Highway 33 Widening

Kelowna The Province is partnering with the City of Kelowna on a $23.5-million project to widen Highway 33 to four lanes between Muir Road and Gallagher Road. Intersections will be upgraded at Muir, Springfield, Toovey, Garner and Traut roads. $23.5M Summer 2009 Transportation
Chase-Falkland Road Improvements Falkland A provincial government investment of $1.2 million in the Chase-Falkland Road will improve the safety of the roadway between Highway 1 and Highway 97. $1.2M Summer 2009 Transportation
Southern Okanagan Secondary – renovations and expansion Oliver The new addition to Southern Okanagan Secondary will include a library, computer lab, science classrooms, 'super' science lab and a new gymnasium. The school will also undergo major renovations that will result in 14 new classrooms, special education and counselling rooms, food and textile labs, a graphic arts room, an art room, as well as a new general office, washrooms and a multi-purpose room. $27.5M Fall 2009 Education

Fintry - Central Okanagan Regional District The Central Okanagan Regional District will receive $400,000 in federal and provincial funding from the Towns for Tomorrow program for North Westside Water Supply and Well Construction project, which includes the construction of two groundwater wells that will serve close to 900 residents. $400,000 Planning underway Communities
Singh Street Multi-Use Pathway Kamloops Kamloops will receive $182,933 in federal and provincial LocalMotion funding for the Singh Street multi-use pathway project, which includes the construction of a three-metre wide, nearly 1.5 km long pathway, running from Parkcrest Ave. to MacArthur Island. This project will provide both non-vehicle based commuting and recreational opportunities for 30,500 residents. $182,933 Spring 2009 Communities
Realtime Turbidity and Chlorine Monitoring System Thompson-Nicola Regional District The Thompson-Nicola Regional District will receive $400,000 in federal and provincial funding from the Towns for Tomorrow program for the Realtime Turbidity and Chlorine Monitoring System project, which includes improvements to the 11 water systems owned and operated by the District. $400,000 Winter 2009 Communities
Woodsdale Road Tennis Court Construction Lake Country Lake Country will receive $311,250 in federal and provincial funding from the Towns for Tomorrow program for the Woodsdale Road Tennis Court Construction project, which will see the construction of four tennis courts and associated landscaping. $311,250 Spring 2010 Communities
Community Park Improvement Facilities Barriere Barriere will receive $400,000 in federal and provincial funding from the Towns for Tomorrow program for the Community Park Improvement Facilities project, which includes the construction of park field house and bandshell. The park will provide a central facility for community events and support tourism activities within Barriere. $400,000 Spring 2009 Communities
Community Park Multi-Use Greenway Barriere Barriere will receive $54,000 in LocalMotion funding for its community park multi-use greenway project.

This project will construct a 900-metre long paved pathway through the district's park. The path will link the school, senior center, health care facilities and recreational opportunities. This project will provide opportunities for physical activity for all 1,760 residents.

Downtown Revitalization – Water Main Upgrades Valemount The Village of Valemount will receive $209,440 in federal and provincial funding from the Towns for Tomorrow program for the Downtown Revitalization–Water Main upgrades project, which will allow the village to replace aging asbestos cement water mains, improving downtown fire-flow reliability and efficiency. $209,440 Spring 2009 Communities
Falkland Water system Improvements – Phase 1 Falkland Columbia-Shuswap Regional District – Falkland will receive $900,000 to carry out extensive improvements to the water system. This investment helps with the first phase of a plan to construct a replacement well, increasing the water systems reliability. Sorrento Water System Improvements Sorrento Columbia-Shuswap Regional District – Sorrento will receive $1.4 million to carry out extensive improvements to the water system. The project includes improvements to the existing reservoirs. $1.4M Planning underway Communities
Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade Kamloops City of Kamloops will receive $14.2 million toward upgrading the wastewater treatment plant. This investment will allow the City of Kamloops to upgrade and update the existing wastewater treatment plant to provide tertiary treatment and nutrient management, helping to protect the environment. $14.2M Planning underway Communities
Faulder Water System Improvements Faulder Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen – Faulder will receive $610,000 to improve water quality. This funding will allow the regional district to construct a treatment facility to remove uranium and will support the construction of a new well or the redevelopment of an existing well. $610,000 Planning underway Communities
Treated Water Supply and Upgrade Penticton City of Penticton will receive $3.4 million to help upgrade the West Bench Irrigation District's water distribution system. The District will be connected to the City of Penticton's water supply. $3.4M Planning underway Communities
Otter Lake Cross Road Upgrade Spallumcheen District of Spallumcheen will receive $2 million to improve Otter Lake Cross Road. A 2.3-kilometre length of the road will be reconstructed, including road widening in some areas, and the addition of sidewalks in residential areas to improve pedestrian safety. $2.0M Planning underway Communities
Blue River Water System Upgrade Blue River Thompson-Nicola Regional District – Blue River will receive $777,000 to replace the water system. The investment will help the Regional District install 3,400 metres of water main, provide a connection to the reservoir and control building to facilitate chlorination. $777,000 Planning underway Communities
Spences Bridge Water System Upgrade Spences Bridge Thompson-Nicola Regional District – Spences Bridge will receive $459,332 for a new water treatment plant. This water treatment plant is part of an integrated water system for the Spences Bridge area. $459,332 Planning underway Communities
Sewer Service Extension West Kelowna West Kelowna will receive $6 million for extension of sewer services. The multi-phase project includes extending municipal sewer to about 960 households in West Kelowna, which has taken over sewer services from the Regional District of Central Okanagan. $6.0M Planning underway Communities
Cache Creek Water Disinfection Project Cache Creek The Village of Cache Creek will receive $150,400 in federal and provincial funding from the Towns for Tomorrow program for the Cache Creek Water Disinfection project, including the installation of a new well. $150,400 Planning underway Communities
Oliver Water Supply Remediation Oliver Oliver will receive $394,400 in federal and provincial funding from the Towns for Tomorrow program for a water supply remediation project, which includes installing a well pump and building a booster station to improve the community's drinking water system. $394,400 Spring 2009 Communities
District of Lillooet Conservation & Reduction Project Lillooet The District of Lillooet will receive $400,000 in federal and provincial Towns for Tomorrow funding for the first phase of the District of Lillooet Conservation & Reduction project. Lillooet Main Street Multiuse Pathway Lillooet The District of Lillooet will receive $120,000 in federal and provincial LocalMotion funding for phase one of the Main Street Multiuse Pathway project, which will link the downtown with Murray Park and the commercial area of town. $120,000 Summer 2009 Communities
Vernon Secondary School Replacement Vernon Vernon Secondary, built in 1968, will be replaced. The new Vernon Secondary will have a capacity for 950 Grade 8-12 students. $42M Planning underway Education
Coldstream Elementary School Replacement Coldstream Coldstream Elementary was originally constructed in 1908. The school has since had 10 additions, with the latest built in 1973. Kamloops Regional Correctional Centre Upgrades Kamloops An investment of $1.5 million in upgrades to the Kamloops Regional Correctional Centre (KRCC) will include installation of security technology to improve staff and public safety. District of Logan Lake Wastewater Upgrade Logan Lake Logan Lake is receiving $196,704 in federal and provincial funding from the Towns for Tomorrow program for the District of Logan Lake Wastewater Upgrade project, which will improve treatment prior to discharge in to the environment. $196,704 Summer 2009 Communities

Cedar Heights Water System Universal Metering Cedar Heights The Columbia Shuswap Regional District will receive $198,759 in federal and provincial funding from the Towns for Tomorrow program for the Cedar Heights Water System Universal Metering project, which includes the installation of 360 residential water meters. $198,759 Spring 2009 Communities
Library Relocation Princeton Princeton is receiving $400,000 in federal and provincial funding from the Towns for Tomorrow program for the relocation of the library to a newly renovated site in the heart of the downtown core adjacent to a revitalized town square. $400,000 Spring 2009 Communities
Non-Residential Metering project Enderby The City of Enderby will receive $398,400 in federal and provincial funding from the Towns for Tomorrow program for a Non-Residential Metering project to help the city reach its 25 per cent water-reduction target. $398,400 Spring 2009 Communities
Armstrong/Spallumcheen New Swimming Pool Spallmucheen $400,000 in federal and provincial funding from the Towns for Tomorrow program is being provided for the Armstrong/Spallumcheen New Swimming Pool project, which will help replace the existing pool with a new 340-person capacity pool. $400,000 Spring 2009 Communities
Mara Water System Extension Sicamous Sicamous will receive $388,000 in federal and provincial funding from the Towns for Tomorrow program for the Mara Water System Extension to CPR Hill project, which will connect 15 single family residences currently being serviced by a separate system. Walker Hill Lane Kelowna Kelowna will receive $39 million in joint federal and provincial funding for a series of local transportation improvements including a two-kilometre climbing lane constructed on the section of Highway 33 known as Walker Hill. $39M Fall 2009 Transportation
Sewage Lagoon Aeration System Osoyoos Osoyoos will receive $322,400 in federal and provincial funding from the Towns for Tomorrow program for the Sewage Lagoon Aeration System – Energy Reduction Program. The two phases of the project include reducing electricity used at the Osoyoos wastewater treatment lagoon by replacing old aeration equipment and using solar energy to generate electricity for on-site use. $322,400 Summer 2009 Communities

Comox The Province is investing $24.9 million for a new Conseil scolaire francophone (CSF) school at the former Village Park Elementary school site.
