Minister Iain Black (second left), along with International Cybercrime Research Centre administrative director Bessie Pang (left), and Surrey-Tynehead MLA Dave Hayer cut the ribbon July 8, 2008 to officially open the new cybercrime centre located at Simon Fraser University Surrey Centre campus. Minister Black announced the Province has provided $350,000 in grants to help launch the centre which will investigate online crime trends and help to develop tools to counter emerging threats.
