Minister Iain Black officially opened the new International Cybercrime Research Centre located at Simon Fraser University Surrey Centre campus July 8, 2008. The Province has provided $350,000 in grants to help the centre in investigating online crime trends and developing tools to counter emerging threats. Insp. Keven McGuigan (left), Vancouver police department forensic services section, also attended the opening.
