2009-09-09 - Minister Mary Polak addressed a group of  parents, caregivers, dignitaries, media, and other members of the community at Langley’s city hall during FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder) Prevention and Support Day.
2009-09-09 - Minister Mary Polak participated in a bell-ringing ceremony organized by The Centre for Child Development to raise awareness of FASD. The Minister was joined by health-care professionals, families and municipal leaders for the ceremony that took place at 9:09 a.m. on the ninth day of the ninth month of 2009 to signify the nine months of pregnancy.
