2008-09-23 - On September 23, 2008 at the Union of British Columbia Muncipalities convention in Penticton, Minister Polak announced $1.8 million for 18 ActNow BC Seniors Community Parks to be located throughout the province. She was joined by Kelowna mayor Sharon Shepherd (far right), Penticton-Okanagan MLA Bill Barisoff and Harry Caine (far left), who championed the Lions Wellness Park in Tsawwassen.
