August 7, 2009

The Minister for Healthy Living and Sport, Ida Chong, offers up an arm in the name of science. Here she learns more about pQCT scanner from Dr. Heather McKay, director, Centre for Hip Health and Mobility. The pQCT scanner, part of the new Centre for Hip Health and Mobility’s mobile research lab, will measure cortical and trabecular bone, geometry, structure, and strength. The mobile lab, launched Friday at Vancouver General Hospital, will study the bone health of study participants who live across B.C.
