Application
Effective: October 22, 2007
The Application category outlines the two-stage application process. The first stage begins when a person completes the Application for Income Assistance (Part 1) form (EIA0080A). The legislative and regulatory requirements people must meet prior to progressing to the second stage of the application process include:
-
An Orientation – This requirement provides general information about application procedures and requirements. The Orientation topic provides a list of people who are not required to complete an orientation
-
A Three-Week Work Search – This requirement is to complete a reasonable attempt to find employment during the application process. This topic also includes exemptions for applicants, including those with immediate needs, who are not required to complete a Three-Week Work Search.
The second stage of the application process is completed when the Application for Income Assistance (Part 2) form (EIA0080) is completed at the application interview.
This category also provides general information about the criteria that are used to assess eligibility at the application interview.
Detailed information is available by clicking on the appropriate topic within the Application Category (left hand menu).
