BC Employment and Assistance (BCEA) Application - Stage 2

Once Stage 1 of the application process is successfully completed, applicants may proceed to the application process Stage 2 for income assistance or disability assistance under the BC Employment and Assistance (BCEA) Program. At the second stage of the application process, ministry staff will:

  • review the applicant’s current resume and work search 

  • confirm that the applicant has attended an orientation within the past 60 days

  • gather information about the applicant’s situation

  • assess the eligibility of the family unit for assistance

  • request the applicant to complete the voluntary Aboriginal Self Identifier form (HSD3187)

  • assess the applicant(s) for an employment plan
