Client Employability Profile

Overview: April 2, 2012

Effective: April 02, 2012

The Client Employability Profile (“Profile”) is an employment-planning tool used by ministry staff to identify a client’s personal barriers to employment and to determine the nature and severity of those barriers.  The Client Employability Profile is used to assist with the determination of eligibility for Persons with Persistent Multiple Barriers (PPMB).  It may also be used to assist with:

  • the development of a client’s Employment Plan (EP) or Voluntary Participation Plan (VPP) by identifying both of the following:

    • whether barriers to employment exist and to determine the degree or severity of the barrier
    • employment-related program or service referrals most appropriate to the client’s specific needs and abilities
  • the EP or VPP review process by reassessing client progress towards resolving barriers, determining their nature and severity and how each may be addressed

The completion of the Profile is mandatory for those clients who score 15 or greater (designated as "employable with longer-term intervention") on the Employability Screen.  However, ministry staff may use the Profile whenever necessary, regardless of clients’ Employability Screen scores.
