Direct Purchase (DP)
Overview: July 4, 2006
Effective: July 04, 2006
Direct Purchase (DP) provides individualized support to clients where contracted services, such as BC Employment Program and the Community Assistance Program are not available and/or clients need employment related supports to ensure that they meet basic requirements to participate in ministry-contracted programs.
DP provides ministry staff with resources to make decisions, where appropriate, for the purchase of goods and services required to move eligible clients into the labour market.
