Training for Jobs (TFJ)

Overview: December 18, 2008

Effective: December 18, 2008

On July 4, 2006, the Training for Jobs (TFJ) Program was replaced by the BC Employment Program.  The Employment Program Management Branch in conjunction with Regional Services Division, jointly managed the TFJ Program and contracts.

The TFJ Program provided integrated job training and job placement to BC Employment and Assistance (BCEA) recipients who are less likely to achieve lasting employment through job placement alone.  The TFJ Program assists assisted recipients to obtain the training they need to find sustainable employment and become independent of income assistance.

The Training for Jobs program is no longer available effective November 30, 2008.
