The least expensive, appropriate hearing instruments and associated repairs and supplies are provided to eligible recipients who lack the financial resources to meet the need.

Hearing instruments and associated repairs and supplies are available under the Employment and Assistance Regulation and Employment and Assistance for Persons with Disabilities Regulation.

Equipment and Assistive Technology Initiative

Individuals who have a disability and an employment goal, and who are eligible to participate in Labour Market Agreement (LMA) programs (unemployed and not eligible for EI or reachback benefits OR employed, low-skilled and wanting to upgrade their skills) may be able to obtain assistive technology through the Equipment and Assistive Technology Initiative (EATI).
