Overview
Effective: November 01, 2006
The Ministry of Social Development (SD) delivers, partners, or administers various other programs that relate to individual or community assistance. The Other Programs Category details information related to each of these programs including:

Prevention and Loss Management Services (PLMS) topic has been removed. Information formerly in this topic now resides in Loss Management – Referral for PLMS Review or Investigation topic in the Verification and Eligibility Category

Family Maintenance Program (FMP) – to assist clients in seeking and obtaining maintenance payments and support to which they may be entitled

Child Care Subsidy (CCS) – to help families with low incomes meet the costs of child care
As of October 02, 2006 the ministry will no longer be responsible for the service delivery of the Child Care Subsidy Program.
As of this date the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) will be responsible for the service delivery of this program.
