Citizenship Requirements
Overview: June 1, 2008
Effective: June 01, 2008
To be eligible for income assistance or disability assistance, applicants must meet Canadian citizenship requirements, make a claim for refugee protection with the Refugee Protection Division of the Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB), or possess a Temporary Resident Permit.
The citizenship requirements apply to applicants under the Employment and Assistance Regulation and Employment and Assistance for Persons with Disabilities Regulation.
