COUNTDOWN IS ON!
In this edition – Premier Campbell helps unveil the gold, silver and bronze medals for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, the Olympic Torch is lit in Greece and begins its journey to the opening of the Games on Feb. 12, 2010, B.C. communities hold celebrations to welcome the torch, and Premier Campbell is joined by VANOC CEO John Furlong in celebrating the 100-day countdown by  lighting a new set of 14-metre tall Olympic Rings in Vancouver’s harbour.

CREATING JOBS, STIMULATING THE ECONOMY
In this edition – Premier Campbell announces funding for a further 174 infrastructure projects around the province as part of the federal/provincial $14-billion Capital Infrastructure Program. Also, Victoria General Hospital’s new emergency department is opened, B.C.’s municipalities meet in Vancouver, and the Province affirms support for Open Skies – a removal of restrictions on international flights to ensure that B.C. and Canada can take advantage of economic growth opportunities.

BUDGET UPDATE 2009

NEW CABINET APPOINTED
In this edition – Premier Campbell appoints a new cabinet to help build a strong economic future for the province. Also, British Columbia celebrates Canada Day, the premiers of the western provinces meet to develop new strategies to foster economic growth, and HRH Prince Edward joins Premier Campbell at a sledge hockey practice and tour of UBC’s Thunderbird Arena, site of the upcoming sledge hockey tournament at the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games.
