GE PLAZA OPENS TO COMMUNITY IN ADVANCE OF 2010
Premier Gordon Campbell, VANOC CEO John Furlong and President & CEO of GE Canada Elyse Allan officially opened the newly renovated GE Plaza ice rink at Robson Square. The rink will provide free ice-skating and the renovated Robson Square will be home to free performances and events during the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Skaters will take to the ice at the GE Plaza at Robson Square today – the first time the Robson Square ice rink has seen activity since 2000, thanks to a Vancouver 2010 Winter Games partnership between GE and the Province of British Columbia.

OLYMPIC RINGS LIGHT UP VANCOUVER INNER HARBOUR
Premier Gordon Campbell and VANOC CEO John Furlong celebrated the 100-day countdown to the 2010 Olympic Winter Games by lighting a new set of 14-metre tall Olympic Rings located on the harbour outside of the new Vancouver Convention Centre.

A set of 14-metre tall Olympic Rings floating in Coal Harbour that will shine throughout the Games were lit by Premier Gordon Campbell to mark the start of the 100-day countdown to the opening ceremonies of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
