Premier Gordon Campbell announces a $30-million Neighbourhoods of Learning pilot project, which will bring together education and community services under a single roof and make use of surplus school space.

VANCOUVER – The future of B.C. schools is changing with the $30-million Neighbourhoods of Learning pilot project, which will see education and community services brought together in a single neighbourhood hub, Premier Gordon Campbell announced.

PREMIER CAMPBELL OPENS NORTH AMERICAN INDIGENOUS GAMES
Premier Gordon Campbell participated in a cultural event at the North American Indigenous Games held in early August 2008 in Vancouver Island's Cowichan Valley. The games and associated events used athletic competition to teach Indigenous holistic principles - physical, mental, spiritual - embodied in sport.
