OLYMPIC RINGS LIGHT UP VANCOUVER INNER HARBOUR
Premier Gordon Campbell and VANOC CEO John Furlong celebrated the 100-day countdown to the 2010 Olympic Winter Games by lighting a new set of 14-metre tall Olympic Rings located on the harbour outside of the new Vancouver Convention Centre.

A set of 14-metre tall Olympic Rings floating in Coal Harbour that will shine throughout the Games were lit by Premier Gordon Campbell to mark the start of the 100-day countdown to the opening ceremonies of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games.

B.C. ARTIST GIFTS HAND-CRAFTED LEADERSHIP DESK TO B.C.
Renowned BC artist Arthur Vickers presented a unique, handcrafted Leadership Desk to Premier Gordon Campbell.  The desk took over three years to create and embodies many rich stories and messages within the First Nations iconography about what it means to be a leader.

Internationally-known B.C. artist Arthur Vickers joined Premier Gordon Campbell today to unveil the Leadership Desk – which Vickers designed and created as a gift from the people of British Columbia to the Government of B.C.
