B.C., WASH. CELEBRATE AS OLYMPIC FLAME VISITS BORDER
Premier Gordon Campbell and Washington State Governor Christine Gregoire greet U.S. torchbearer Phil Mahre, former Olympic athlete and alpine skier, under the Peace Arch Monument at the Canada-U.S. Border.

PEACE ARCH – The Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch Relay visited the United States of America to celebrate the strong ties between British Columbia and Washington State and between Canada and the United States.

Premier Gordon Campbell participated in the official opening of the Four Host First Nations 2010 Aboriginal Pavilion or “Chiefs’ House.”  The 8,000 square-foot pavilion celebrates the diversity of the Aboriginal peoples and cultures from across Canada.
