2008 CIBC RUN FOR THE CURE
Premier Gordon Campbell is joined at the CIBC Run for the Cure by (L to R) Richard lee, MLA for Burnaby North; Mary Polak, Minister of Healthy Living and Sport and MLA for Langley; Joan McIntyre, Minister of State for Intergovernmental Relations and MLA for Vancouver-Garibaldi; and Colin Hansen, Minister of Finance and MLA for Vancouver-Quilchena.

Premier Gordon Campbell helps kick off the 2008 CIBC Run For The Cure in Vancouver on Sunday. The Premier also announced a new program to recognize volunteers across British Columbia.

DEMOLITION BEGINS ON COQUIHALLA TOLL PLAZA
Premier Gordon Campbell sits behind the controls with Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Kevin Falcon as the demolition of the Coquihalla Toll Plaza begins.  Over the next few days 13 toll booths on the northbound and southbound lanes will be stripped of materials and removed.

MERRITT – The process to decommission the toll booths on the Coquihalla Highway is underway, Premier Gordon Campbell announced.

SAFE, SECURE COMMUNITIES FOCUS OF B.C.-ALBERTA MEETING
Premier Gordon Campbell and B.C.'s cabinet joined Alberta Premier Ed Stelmach and his cabinet for the sixth joint B.C.-Alberta cabinet meeting in Prince George. Agreements were reached for the two provinces to work together on key issues such as community safety, trade, labour mobility and rural development.

PRINCE GEORGE – An agreement that will see B.C. and Alberta co-operate to enhance community safety and team up to tackle gang crime and repeat offenders was one of the highlights of the sixth British Columbia-Alberta joint cabinet meeting, held in Prince George.

PREMIER ANNOUNCES END TO COQUIHALLA TOLLS
Premier Gordon Campbell addresses the Union of B.C. Municipalities convention, announcing the end to tolls on the Coquihalla, support for the Northwest Transmission Line, and a host of other new programs to support B.C. communities.

PENTICTON – Tolls on the Coquihalla Highway will be removed immediately, Premier Gordon Campbell announced during his annual address to the Union of B.C. Municipalities.
