Premier Gordon Campbell speaks at the 2003 B.C. Biotechnology Awards in Vancouver, March 24. The event celebrates excellence and innovation in the biotechnology industry in B.C., which is the fastest-growing biotechnology centre in Canada. To support the industry, the government has committed more than $900 million to increase technology research and training at B.C. colleges and universities.
