B.C. is a leader in climate action and has put into law a commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 33 per cent by 2020.

2009-09-24 - Premier Gordon Campbell helped turn the sod on a new, $60-million health research centre at Vancouver General Hospital. The Robert H.N. Ho Research Centre was funded in part by a $15-million donation from Robert Ho, and will provide researchers with space to develop treatments and cures for patients with cancer, people with bone health issues, and those with mobility challenges.

The projects announced today will create about 4,600 more jobs, and are a part of the Province’s three-year, $14-billion capital infrastructure program, which will create up to 88,000 jobs and help build vital public infrastructure in every region of B.C.
