  • Elections BC is an independent office of the Legislature responsible for administering provincial elections and referenda. The office also registers voters and maintains the provincial voters' list. If you are not registered to vote or wish to verify your registration information, contact Elections BC.

  • The Citizens' Assembly on Electoral Reform's web site contains information about the Assembly's activities, as well as copies of its report recommending BC-STV. It also contains electronic versions of submissions made to the Assembly and other learning resources.

  • The International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA), based in Sweden, is an intergovernmental organization with a mandate to support sustainable democracy worldwide. Its site at http://www.idea.int/esd/ has a great deal of information on electoral systems around the world.

  • The ACE project contains a wealth of information on electoral systems, including a synopsis of how STV works in Ireland.

  • The Irish Election On-line Database contains an animated demonstration of how the Irish version of STV voting works. Keep in mind that their method of transferring votes differs slightly from the proposed BC-STV model.

  • A review of STV for the Scottish Parliament examines how STV operates in the countries that use it.

  • The Legislative Assembly appointed a special committee to serve as a link between the Legislative Assembly and the Citizens' Assembly on Electoral Reform. The committee's report includes a discussion of some of the attributes of the proposed BC-STV system.
