PROVINCE PROVIDES $1.7 MILLION TO CELEBRATE HERITAGE

VICTORIA - The Honourable Bill Bennett, Minister of Tourism, Culture and the Arts is joined by the Honourable Ida Chong, Minister of Technology, Trade and Economic Development and Minister Responsible for the Asia-Pacific Initiative at the Emily Carr House to announce that in honour of BC150, the province is providing $1.7 million to celebrate and recognize the significant role that heritage plays in B.C.

This funding is provided in partnership with the federal Department of Canadian Heritage, in support of the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Crown Colony of British Columbia in 1858.
