CRAIGFLOWER MANOR RECEIVES $250,000 TO REPAIR FIRE DAMAGE

VICTORIA – August 25, 2009 – Kevin Krueger, Minister of Tourism, Culture and the Arts at Craigflower Manor to announce $250,000 in joint federal and provincial funding. The money will cover the cost of repairing the national historic site, which was damaged by a January fire.

Kevin Krueger, Minister of Tourism, Culture and the Arts is joined by Gary Lunn, Minister of State for Sport and MP for Saanich-Gulf Islands at Craigflower Manor. Through the National Historic Sites of Canada Cost-Sharing Program, the Government of Canada contributed $125,000 for Craigflower Manor for a combined total of $250,000 in provincial and federal funding.
