CRAIGFLOWER MANOR RECEIVES $250,000 TO REPAIR FIRE DAMAGE
August 25, 2009VICTORIA – August 25, 2009 – Kevin Krueger, Minister of Tourism, Culture and the Arts at Craigflower Manor to announce $250,000 in joint federal and provincial funding. The money will cover the cost of repairing the national historic site, which was damaged by a January fire.
Some of the fire damage to Craigflower Manor could be clearly seen behind Minister Krueger who announced the provincial funding to repair the building.
Kevin Krueger, Minister of Tourism, Culture and the Arts is joined by Gary Lunn, Minister of State for Sport and MP for Saanich-Gulf Islands at Craigflower Manor. Through the National Historic Sites of Canada Cost-Sharing Program, the Government of Canada contributed $125,000 for Craigflower Manor for a combined total of $250,000 in provincial and federal funding.
